recommedations on dvd unit

Just wonderin, i saw a few awesome installs on the weekend, and have decided i defo want a dvd and screen install. Now ive been lookin at prices,

and i can get a stand alone screen for 150-200 but the head unti is 750 upwards OUCH! but then i found the silver kenwood dvd unit with motorised 7" screen for £800! look better two, screen will be much higher up and stuff!

Any views? any diff?

Tahnks

all very good units

but remember this

you are leaving £800+ in your dash all of the time and you cant remove it or lock it up

get one with a face plate

or get seperate insurance

New alpine screens due soon!!

The second Kenwood one is about £1500. It is the best IMOH. Ill have a look for you and let you know a price on monday when my suppliers are open again.

colin is definatley right on the M700 not being dvd, the KVT920 is a good unit but onyl a 6.5inch screen, that half incha makes all the difference (depending on how much u drunk ;) )

there are plenty of options to get a screen in a clio,

Tom

Ive got the 6400R Pioneer pop out unit, running a PS2 (it has a face plate that you can remove) i paid £765 for the Tv heaadunit inc 6disc changer and £230 for PS2

Dan, you can pick up a panasonic dvd headunit out of the back of Max Power or any other such magazine for around £600, this is the model with the tweeter that folds out. Then all you have to do is pick up a screen (Necvox?) for around £200, giving you a dvd set-up for your £800, simple. Do you remember me from Brands?

The Kenwood DVD (second one shown) is £1300 from a the car audiocentre in manchester.

The first one shown is £1100 (Screen is £800 alone) with TV tuner and 6 disc changer.
