Recommended track suspension setup?

Can anyone recommend me a track setup please? Im not looking at blisteins or anything that is gonna cost me £1000

Something decent. Bar in mind the setup is for a car just for track nothing else.. only other use it will get is actually driving to the track itself!!

I suppose there is two ways you can approach this,

1/ Eibachs and stiffer ARB/bushes etc. Total cost providing your handy with a spanner, £300.
2/ Coils...Any coil is going to be stiffer than option 1... I'd consider KW for around £700, again very easy to fit, local motorsport centre, ask them to set it up how you want. They'll be able to advise you. Set-up should be around £30 an axle and 15-20 per min changes...Allow £100-£150 for a good cornerweighted set up!

FK Koni's are a good shout for the budget.

Bilsteins I've not used on a Clio, but they're epic on Saxo's/106's, so would bet they're quality.

Don't discount a second hand set of H&R's either, imo.

Well my budget is £600, but if blisteins are only £100 more then yeah il probably end up going for them, unless a set of H&R's come on here cheap

TBH, if your only just starting up, the k-tec coils will do you fine!! Not worth punting and buying other gear!

If ya havent seen the other thread this car wont even be a daily drive.. Its for track days only.....It will be insured/taxed/MOTed on my street.. but it will not be used at all.. only time it will be used is going to the track and back

Also this is not happening til july.. the car will be of the road completely at my gf's parents driverway on axle stands so i can do whaever i want with it and don't have to rush..

So the car will not be insured until im completely finished...

I dont fancy putting on the ktecs.. then 1-2 months later changing to better coilies and loosing £100 value on the ktecs.. when i still have em brand new in the box

Plus, you'll have to pay to have everything set up twice as well.

It's all about getting things done right first time round.

id avoid vmaxx's and Ktecs if its a track car they are far to soft. im looking for better at the mo but the cup spacing is a real pig to get anything decent.

The FKs have adjustable damping but don't think Bilsteins have. Get the FK's then put £100 towards a trackday.

Well i got ktechs cause it was gonna be a daily drive + track

But now im insured on the misses KA so whenever we go out i drive and we use that.. plus its dirty cheap to run lol

So this will turn into a track car instead :)

Never had any issues with my Vmaxx on track. They're harder than standard and no-one raises issues with using standard suspension on track.

Within reason. You have to start somewhere.

Get yourself on track, tuition then go for a 'decent' set up!

The RS is hardly a poor handling car in oem trim! Calm it for now.

Ive done track before lol, Im not one of these people who make a track car but never go on track lol.

As its of the road i also plan on fitting everything myself, even if it takes days instead of hour's so there is no rush at all

I would rather do it right first time round, instead of wasting cash on parts i could of gotten in the first place

Buy the Biltein's..... people moan about them not being adjustable, but I bet very few actually use the adjustment.

My mate has blisteins in his saxo vts many many years back.. I didnt know he had them.. It was handling like it was glued to the ground... stay flat.. but kept its comfort.. it was nice

Bilsteins have fancy internals to adjust the damping depending on the situation. I dont understand how it works but I'd fit a set to my clio in a heartbeat given the opportunity.
