Refitting a wing?

  ?
Had to replace my drivers side plastic wing approx 1 year ago and picked up a non-genuine part for really cheap and got it painted. However, when I fitted it it doesnt fit exactly right, it is raised slightly compared to the drivers door...

Is it worth it/ possible to take the wing off and ajust its fitting so it lies more flat with the body? Its only a 5mm movement maybe i could sand some of the back down or something?

you can try, but i doubt you'll accomplish much.

non genuine parts are notorious for not fitting 100%, even genuine parts can be s**t though.

i aint 100% but im sure the wings stick out to the doors anyway on all mk2 clios, is it much further out than your other wing?

i just replaced a wing on my flamer - reno aprt and fits well - my mate fitted it (a reno master tech) and it did take a little postioning to get it perfect

To be honest when i first fitted it I was rushed and kind of forced it into whatever position and just accepted it... now im regretting it.
