Refurb or Buy and Resell

Anyone ever had there wheels refurbed?

Don't know whether to buy some anthracite 182 alloys and then resell the silver ones or just go and get them recoloured cos i'm sure the finish isn't gonna be as good or durable as a set of originals.

Anyone know what it would cost to get done, the silver's are in mint condition no marks on them at all so at least they haven't got loads of marks to get out.

Mate, its all good getting em refubed. I had the ones on my Megane reburbished and powder coated black.
Better finish than my original wheels.

And £220 for all 4.

that don't sound bad, at i guess alot less hassle than buying n selling.

where did you get them done?

I want them to look exactly the same as the originals so u can't tell they've been done, would refurbs stand up to wear n tear as well as the originals i don't fancy the idea of them looking great when i pick them up and then six months later looking really shabby.

Seen some original anthracite's up for sale, supposed to be like new but the bloke wants stupid money for them £600, got nearly new tyres on them but there some cheapy make £45 a corner, yuck!

If your tyres are not brilliant sell them on.

If the tyres are good I would keep them and get them refurbed.

I dropped my Megane off and left it with em whilst they did all four wheels.

Less hassle than buying new ones and selling your old ones.

I got mine done at Wicked Wheels in Crawley and highly rate em. If done properly the finish will be factory anyway. Wheels are only painted lacquered to be anthracite anyway.

Why don't you go for a different kind of finish if you're planning on reburbing. Apparently they'll do any colour!!

Just get yours refurbed . Buying 182 anthracites in good condition will cost you an arm and a leg , and i'm sure your silver 182 wheels won't command as good a price as anthracite wheels as these seem to be more a more popular choice imo .
