Refurbing carbon trim

Can this trim be refurbed? The laquer is tarnished and it's scuffed on the edges.

I was thinking about flatting it back with wet and dry then laquering it again.

yes!! just flat it down with some 1200 or 1000 wet and dry and re lacquer mate and be like new!
