Registration Plate - Police Problems?

  172 FF
Am getting a private plate prob j19 lfs but am not wanting any spaces ie J19LFS. Has anyone else got a registration with no spaces and if so do they get stopped alot? Not sure if I've posted this in the right section feel free to move. Many thanks

risk it, could get caught the moment you fit it, could get caught never, 30 quid fine first time, if you continually get caught your looking at getting the plate revoked, oh and it should fail an MOT

I have a small plate on the front of my scoob, and have been stopped 3 times in 3 years.

There is talk of numberplates being revoked, but everytime I get stopped, they ask me if I have been stopped for it before. Not sure it is being recorded. However, they always take a photo.

Latest stop (a couple of weeks ago) the PC (nice guy) said that they are clamping down on this now. Seen this on Web also.

The reason I run the plate is cause I like the look of it, and I am happy to pay the 30 quid a year for the privilege - but getting stopped more often is making me think twice.

I think its now a £50 fine along with getting a 7 day wonder (producer) to have it checked its been changed.

i doubt anyone will stop you unless the font is crazy. keep the font the same and your'll be fine :D

love the way people openly admit to ignoring the law on here... and then go forward and post their illegal reg plate for the whole world to see!

had my private plate on my cars for a year and got pulled once! dodgy font type and spacing! got away with just by putting the legal plates on that i kept in the boot and they sent me on my way! otherwise theyre pretty harsh down here!

i'd go for it though!
