well heres where we stand so far....

Renault UK are useless, not interested, love to ensure me how well trained their dealerships are and how reliable the cars are (not really relevent since ive had a MASSIVE failure and massive f**k up by useless dealerships, they love a curtisy call to make sure the car is still fucked and love to take details about loads of stuff but not do much about it - like all the details for RCI finance so they can get in contact and speed things up - yet they dont bother their arse to actually contact them.

RCI finance are even better, they agree Arnold clark should not touch the car until they have spoken to them since ive requested a refund or replacement. so tell me to cancel the appointment to have it rectified (this was 3 weeks ago) i had to chase them up as i hadnt heard anything from them to be told, ahh we spoke to the dealership who told us you had canceled the appointment so we assumed the car was ok?!?! WHAT THE f**k?!!? so ive now told them they better phone me on monday with serious progress or they can come and collect there car as im canceling the payments. not paying for something i cant get use of.

Arnold clark, dont even go there, in the last 2 years i have bought £30,000 of cars from this dealership and the family business has bought over £200,000 worth of cars from them and they are not in the slightest bit interested in anything thats going on.

so as far as i can see my options are....

trade the car in loosing money given the fact its only 3 months old!
pay someone i trust to put the 7 faults right
pay to go down the legal route - expensive, stressfull and time consuming
cancel the payments and have the car returned/repossessed - affecting my credit rating of course.
put up with driving an undrivable piece of s**t paying a s**t load of money and running costs for (not an issue if the car was perfect as it was!)

who said brand new cars were a great idea lol!

RUK are not interested, they say its arnold clarks issue, they are just apparently trying to make sure it goes smoothly, yet they dont seem to be doing to well with that part!

Legally you are entitled for a refund on the car or full parts to be repaired under the sale of goods act

Toughy. It's under warranty and it's fucked so it's a partial Renault problem.

Sadly it's Arnold who you have to convince in regards to rejecting it. Have you seen a solicitor yet?

legally yes im entitled to have it repaired, however arnold clark are physically unable to repair it properly in my eyes, they have atempted and failed massively. and they want attempt after attempt to put it right

engine failed under warranty new engine was replaced under warranty so i think as far as thats concerned the failure is fixed, however its the workmanship thats now the issue.

not saw a solicitor yet, i dont even know what sort of costs would be involved with that?

so far we have the following issues...
car pulling all over road/off centre steeringwheel - report to show incorrect fitted subframe causing the issue.
car wont select gears properly
front end pannel gaps terrible
headlight beam pattern far to low can hardly see at night
wheel has been dropped off hub onto caliper taking massive chip out it.
car has developed a weird hair dryer noise when driving (you can only hear it with window down)

I personally would (or more like did) put these correspondence in writing and send recorded, phone calls to some monkey in a call centre isnt going to help, if you havent already put in writing that you are rejecting the car and given it to the manager at Arnold Clark, thats the first step, rejecting a car has to be put in writing.

If you have already done this, ask for them to put into writing the specific reason they are not going to refund the car.

I bought my 200 new from ness motors elgin and i can only say that i had a great service from them . Mine needed new brakes at 12k they changed them foc and it neede a new gearbox at 15k wouldna go into 4th without crunching they changed the box in 3 days foc . This proberly doesnt help you . Try writing to uncle Arnold himself

Have you actually asked RUK if they will let Ness motors fix your issues?

After Arnol Clark fucked up my 200 (as per the video LOL) then took it a joyride I refused to put it back in so RUK arranged Parks in Ayr to take a look at it. I actually got a text from a mate that worked there saying the service manager "couldn't be arsed sorting a warranty claim on it so told RUK it was fine". After that I spoke to RUK again and got them to arrange for Ness motors in Perth to look at it. 2 minutes after getting there he had a list of parts that needed replaced and got it all arranged. Epic service.

Feel really sorry for you Martin. Best of luck getting it replaced.

Only thing I can say is to echo the above and get every correspondence recorded & dated. Act professional about it. Don't leave anything to chance. These companies are ruthles and will try every trick in the book to avoid payment

Feel sorry for you mate. What a terrible situation to be in.

I hope you manage to get things sorted in the end.

RCI were dealing with the dealership today and were under strict orders to phone me with an update and some serious progress tomorrow or they can come and collect their car as i was canceling the direct debits. so will see what happens. chances of them actually giving a f**k and phoning me are slim!!!

just dump it outside the workshop doors, lock it up and walk away, that's what i did when the dealer scratched my V6, they paid up

arnold clark have now offered to have it taken to a specialist of my choice to be put right and they will pay the bill. seriously interested in this option if it means getting to keep my albi blue!
