rekon this is possible (tacho)

I have a ph3

If i manage to find a wreked 1.4 ph3, do u rekon i can simple pull out the eDIS module with tacho feed etc and put it in mine. Then just rig up a tacho to it? Rather thatn have mine drilled into etc..?

Long shot, but it may work - what you think?

I would have thought so, if its a ph3 then you should only need the dials, jsut done that to my ph2, all i need to do was swap over dials, water temp and revs worked...and my previous dials didnt have either on.

Someone had this done wiht ph2 dials to ph3 and paid about £70 to have em converted.

I would have thought, goign on the ph1&2 that the dials simply swapped over, you will know cus there will be a specific plug for the tacho, and if it aint there then it wont work

1.4 Phase3 didnt have the eDIS Module.. only the 1.2 DIET engine did.

The only way I can see, it as a straight swap.. is get some dials from a Phase3 1.2 RN - they did have the rev counter - maybe itll work straight away?

I didnt notice until after I had all mine converted.

hmm, thought all the dials were the same. ill have to try and look at some 1.4 ph3 dials. trouble is ive never seen a ph3 in a scrappy - yet.

oh, ok. Ill have a hunt. Did try some dials from i think a K plate RT, but no luck on that.

1.4 S dials from a Phase3 definetly dont work - Thats what I had.. then got converted.

Try to get a 1.2 RN Phase3 Dial set.. and it might work.. hehe..

out of interest, how come u didnt try puttin 1.2 RN dials from an N reg in? rather than gettin them converted.

Is it cos u couldnt find any?
