182 manifold, cams, good exhaust, decat, chip + remap.

the other mods too, messing about with the inlet, dont know the technical stuff.

looks like 197 is the target for most people without throttle bodies or a turbo.

Manifold matching (level 2 from BenR if you an convince him to do another) then some cams, induction kit, full exhaust, remap and you should be very close to 200hp head work will garantee you over 200hp realy with that lot.

And best thing is with the right bits it would look standard both extrernally and internally.

I personally I wouldn't bother unless I got the parts cheap to tune the engine. Brakes and suspension are far more fun for me.

However if I was going to tune I'd go for throttle bodies and a nice custom exhaust maybe with cams and head work. The price for throttle bodies for the gains isn't very good value since you need a new stand alone Ecu but the fact that you get a proper throttle cable not an electric one and the noise that throttle bodies give would be way I'd go for it.

Thats the problem you could always buy a whole new engine and when you come to sell have it removed and the old one put back in but unless you get it done very cheap its not worth it.

Thats waht brakes and suspension good as it can be removed by anyone and sold on easier.

I have everything except 182 manifold, and judging by my 0 - 60 time, f**k all.

my 0-60 time was 10 secs or something due to bein a little excited and near stalling it, its not the 0-60 im looking for its the extra bit of ooomph I want

Andy from GDI has put in some cams into his car and they have given him loads more bhp. Different cams to mine.

They are more about top end power at like 6-7k revs. Andys was running at 224bhp but I think he's also done some headwork. Also got a large single throttle body.

Inlets (Minus Plenium), Decat, zorst maxogen and an old 172 Map gave me 183.6

Feels ALOT better with Plenium. So mayb 185Bhp.

Manifold is 6-7Bhp.

So basically your not making 200Bhp.

LOL. Not worth the money imo. Buy coilovers and "BRAKES"

I ran a crappy 6.94 with loads of wheels spin and a jerky start. so it's fast enough.
