Remote Control Helicopters - anyone know any good ones?

  SLK 350
I always wondered as a kid if you could attach a pellet gun to the helicopter somehow, or thinking now a video camera to some fit neighbours window :)

Seriously though, mate of mine had a petrol copter for his birthday 3/4 years ago, and within a day it was wrecked beyond repair. They are meant to be pretty hard to pilot, but i guess that varies somewhat. That said, its got a cool factor for all of two weeks, then it goes back in the garage again for eternity where it will be destined for eBay :(

They are __really__ difficult to fly. My Dad has one. Big petrol powered job, he's hardly used it due it being so difficult to fly. I've see it going once and it was like being near a flying lawn mower - really scary.

I'd love to be able to fly one well - think it takes a lot of practice.

I was looking into getting one of these, but didn't bother in the end. The batteries only last for about 15 mins max with a good healthy battery. Also as they're so light, if you hit any sidewind it'll be hard to control and rectify.

In the end, decided to go for a land vehicle - a 4ft petrol tiger tank

I always wanted one of these but for the reasons others have stated I decided against it. I'll probably give in to temptation one day, may even buy a cheap electric indoor helicopter :)

Same company seems to be selling them cheaper on ebay. Looks like a good laugh, you got me thinking of one. Could be good for drunken bbqs in the summer. Or maybe not.

  182... again!
Find a local club...should be able to get advice and help with learning to fly it too!

My girlfriends dad has been learning for months, hes just starting to get the hang of it. I bought a P-51 mustang the beginning of last year, never had a lesson but managed to keep it in the air a few times for a few months, then lost control and smashed it into a million peices, never gone back to it.
