Removal Of "Box" In Engine Bay

ive got a 1.6 2003 clio, does anything know whats in the sealed box between the airbox and the air inlet hose?

not sure what it is, or of its safe to remove it!

i think it's just a resonator (sp) box and can be removed with no problems

same as above,just difficult to get hold of hosing for it or if you do its quite costly as i found out,but well worth it

its a resonator box, took mine of got some CAF piping from Venair, sounds much nicer now, especially with my k-tec stealth

i took mine of the other day and at high revs i can feel the interior shaking coz of the noise lol.

with resonator, notice the box between the plenum and the expansion bottle

without resonator, dont have the k&n anymore, will try and get a pic of standard airbox with the CAF, nothing much to look at tbh, just a big pipe from the side of the airbox to the panel by the battery to draw in cold air.

Its on the 1.4 16v and 1.6 16v mate. I used to have a 1.6 megane thats why I know!
