removal of standard airel

ive tryed before and just remembered to ask how you can get these off?

Try spraying the aerial base with some wd40 the day before, as it should just twist out.

Jokes aside, it should just twist off mate. If it's stuck my guess would be that the screw thread is cross-threaded or it's corroded under the ariel and a well placed spray of WD40 might help loosen it - just don't get that crap on your paint.

Not sure how you take them off but it is possible.

A mk2 ph1 aeriel just unscrews. I apprecaite that yours might be stiff though.

^ would depend on the size of the thread, a mk2 ph1 car & a mk2 ph2 have different sized threads, one if 5mm the other is 6mm, so if it fits one it won't fit the other..

think you will have to replace the whole arial man. the ph2 arial is a screw in type thing. our ones have a base that the arial snaps into sort of. not sure if the c2 one will fit, but if it does, pls drop me a pm
