The best method is to remove the plastic bung on the back of the door below the lock. Compress the two lugs while sliding the strip towards the back of the car. Once free, the strip should slide off easily. Then it is simply a case of removing the badge.

Mk2 phase 1 or mk2 phase 2 ?

Slide the door bump strip off

To do this open the door and it slides backwards towards the rear of the car

Once the strip is off the badge will clip off

2 minute job

If the bumpstrips haven't been off before then they may feel rock solid but just keep trying they do just slide

for ph2 there is a small cut out to the rear underside of the bump strip. get a very thin screw driver and wrap some celotape around it to stop it from marking the paint. then poke it up into the cut out and have a dig about while trying to slide the strip to the rear of the car. this is because there is a small tab inside that stops the strips from moving back and forth. it just needs prising out of the door with the screw driver. careful not to go too mad tough as it is flimsy and might snap. its quite self explainitory to get the badge off the bumpstrip. again take care as the tabs on the badges can break. hope this helps.
