Removing Carbon Canister

I have removed the carbon canister and vented it from the cam cover using a small filter. Is it safe to remove the pipework all the way to the petrol tank and vent it there or shall I only remove the pipework to a small connector next to the cat and vent it to atmosphere from there?

May I ask why you are doing this ?
Is it road or track car ?

Think when I did mine left it venting by the cat although probably best if you can get it to vent at the tank

I completely removed mine few years ago. Sealed the pipe just under the petrol tank. No issues at all. I think the petrol cap has a vent built in if I remember correctly

Vent it next to the cat? So vent fuel vapours next to a hot exhaust component ?
