Removing CD magazine with no power?

I'm picking my new car up tomorrow evening so I will be clearing the Clio out.

I fitted an Alpine headunit and forgot to empty the CD changer before I disconnected the standard headunit. I would reconnect the standard head unit but my brother is having the car as is so it would be alot of hastle.

Is there a way to get the CD magazine out of the changer without messing around with refitting the standard headunit?

hook the changer up to an earth and a fused power feed straight to the battery

yes but I don't know unfortunately I never had a changer,may have been covered before so do a search
