removing clock face.

  LY R27
ok ive got a mk2ph1 and need to remove the clock face (please note this isnt the same type as 1*2s) it has a large speedo in the middle, rev counter to the left of this and temp and fuel gauge on the right. from the poverty model.

from my experiance, it isnt the same to remove the face as the needles want to self position themselves down to zero (anti clockwise). so in my mind, if i remove the needles, will the motor just keep spinning anti clockwise and not reed correctly when refitted?

thanks :)

yeh its where the dials are, ie speedo rpm temp and fuel gauges are.
need to remove it as ive gotta change it if im fitting blue LEDs to it.
because its an orange filter, and orange doesnt let blue through it

You'd be better off trying to source some better clocks on similar mileage imo mate....

Failing that, try to explain what you want to do better, as I don't quite understand...?

just want to take the face off, the bit with the dials on it , ie speedo and rpm on it.
ive done it on a 172 before, just pull of the needles, but these needles self correct themselfs to 0 with a stopper to stop them going bellow 0. if you know what i meen
so if i take the needle off surely it will keep spinning anticlockwise wont it?
