Its not the worst job in the world and I reallu should have taken pics on 1 of the occassions I've done it!

Firstly remove the top half of the dash with T20 screws, and pull off.

Undo the 4 screws holding the speedo cluster in ( 2 face downwards and cant be seen easily).

Remove the speedo cluster by undoing the wiring clips and popping the speedo cable off.

Remove the stereo and disconnect the metal rods that go from the heater controls to the fan unit.

Remove the steering wheel. T50 for the big nut. DO NOT undo the main nut all the way until you have loosened the wheel off its splines or you'll end up with a sore face!! I also removed the indicater and wiper stalks.

At each side at the footwell there is an earth that needs to be undone with a 10mm socket.

Undo the 4 10mm nuts (2 on either side, 1 top and 1 at the bottom) and pull the dash forward a bit. You'll then be able to see 2 multiplugs on either side. There are also plugs right in each top corner that need to be undone. Disconnect these and assuming Ive/you've not forgotten anything you'll end up with this
