Removing Door Handle

Hi,

How do you remove the door handle?

I have taken the door card off and can see the mechanism from behind the door handle, and i was just wondering how can i take the handle off the car, so i can swap with a colour coded one??

yes mate, i want to colour code mine, but i dont want to leave my car without handles for a few days while i paint them

Sorry mate, i am putting my 1.2 back to standard so need them. Then my colour coded ones are going on my new motor.

Once the door card is off they're held on by 2 x 10mm bolts

There is a metal rod that operates the linkage that just pushes off

Once you've removed the 2 bolts if you hold the handle in the open position the handles slides out easier

its worth marking the metal rod at the height its currently at. Makes re-fitting easier with less guess work
