Removing engine cover on a 1.2

Hiya.

How do you take the engine cover off a 2002 1.2 clio?

Needs a good clean. tried yanking it but did'nt want to break any clips!

what engine is it?? the one with the strange air filter that needs an adaptor plate?? 16v?

the clips are quite tights but you can prise them open with a flathead screwdriver

i realised this after i broke the clips lol

Release it just to the left of the oil filler. then pull up at the top relasing the clips with your fingers towards the front of the car. Then pull the whole cover towards the back of the car.
