Removing ESP keeping ABS or ideas

Hi guys, since fitting a quick rack into my Clio 182 I’m experiencing ESP issues as the YAW is sensing more steering input than the steering angle sensor is reading.

So if I see say 5 degrees steering on Clip in reality it’s much more hence yaw setting off the ESP.

So options are to trick the computer somehow and increase the steering value..

Disconnect the yaw sensor (currently doing this) which brings on the SERV and ESP light but is perfect to drive.

Switch off the ESP on the switch but this keeps getting the odd blip of ESP cutting in due to the excessive conditions it thinks it’s seeing.

Or.. somehow de configure the ESP out of the ABS computer. Which would be my preference. Get rid of it totally.

Any suggestions from tech wizards?

It’s not a calibration issue by the way, steering angle is all reset and perfect!

Not sure how possible it is, but can you fit the ecu from a pre 52 plate car that won’t have esp and will just have abs at that point. You’ll lose your CC too kind you.

I’m not worried about loosing the CC that has never worked. Due to running gen90

I thought about that too, I was wondering if the connection is the same and also don’t want to mess my mileage up..

Mileage is locked to the speedometer so wont change.

If Im not mistaken the 172 abs pumps are different to the 182s, not sure exactly whats different though.

Incase anyone is interested I managed to do
It, bit of a headscratcher but if someone wants to completely remove the esp lights and not have to push a switch anymore there is a way.

or if they have fitted a quick steering rack to their road car 👍👍👍

I turned the trajectory control off on my old Kangoo and got rid of the multiplex issues with clip. Does the asr still kick in as its only disabling the light on the clocks from memory. Mine was cup setup no abs so did not have any issues in that respect.

Nothing kicks in with the Yaw sensor disconnected. Even with the dash configuration when the yaw sensor is connected it still did have a hint of kicking in.. obviously with the quick rack it exaggerates everything. But as said with yaw disconnected and the configuration set without trajectory it’s perfect, and most importantly no lights!!

And ABS is totally un affected!
