Removing Oil Filter

I drained the oil, while it was draining tried to take the oil filter off but not got the tools until sunday to remove the fuel rail guard so not been able to get it off.

So i've had to refill the car with new oil in the meantime because i need to use it, but still have the old filter on.

If i remove the filter with the car full of oil will it piss out everywhere?

Any oil that's within the filter will piss out, so it'll require topping up afterwards. Personally I wouldn't have bothered changing the oil and leaving a dirty filter on.

Yes it will piss everywhere, why not just wait until you could do it properly?

dan is right just making your new oil dirty ,always try to loosen the filter off then drain the oil .. have to put a big screw driver throw it... twist it off.. will be messy. cause your new oil is gonna come out.. I just bought oil removal pliers from Halfords ,took fuel guard off ,was easy.. my 1st oil change on the car..

Hardly the end of the world running fresh oil with an old filter for a few days, at least the oil that drops from the filter will be clean.
