Removing one of the boxes on your 182 exhaust

(im on about the one after the cat) to free up some of the sound?! was going to have a word with my local guy??!! sure he could make a bit of pipe?!

anyone done this?! and would it make it sound that much better?

I need it to sound better? and my exhaust is still looking like new - shame to skip it just yet!

I've got a standard 182 exhaust with an induction kit and it sounded quiet so put a de-cat in. It's a bit noisier but gone very raspy...not sure I like it all that much better.

After a Scorpion 192 exhaust which should be just a bit noisier, but not too loud. Unfortunately my washing machine just died so got to spend funds on a new one instead.....how dull.

i could do that - but i would have to change it every time it goes in for its MOT and also arent these illegal - i was thinking if i did this i could at least leave it as it is and be done with it?! Might make it sound a bit better ???!!

also would be nice if i could keep it looking standard (from the rear) but have that bit more of a sound to the zaust

done this exhaust thing on my 172 system mate, have a look in my project thread 'project tame'

you can see what i did in that, much nicer tone, quite loud though! no raspyness involved at all.

still got my cat too!

not if you know the mot tester fella

the decat isnt illegal itself, you need a valid mot to be insured, to get an mot you need to pass your emissions test, if you pass and have an mot then its all good
