removing private plate...

Right, I need to remove my private plate on my clio, and I also want to retax it.

My tax runs out end of May, so can i re tax for 6 months and get a refund of a months tax from the current tax disc?
Also what forms do I need to use, I will be going into my local office to make it quicker so do i still need to take some in?

Is it still £80 to swap over and £25 to retain for a year, so £105 in total?

Thanks!

Think the numberplate is held on by two screws behind the caps?

Its £105 mate.
Don't know on the tax.
Just take down every single piece of paperwork you have for the car and your wallet and they will sort it all out for you, thats what I did.

Yep it is £105 to go on retention, they may be able to sort the tax at the same time, or most likely way is that you will get the new V5 back with the original plate within a week or so, and then just tax as normal in May.
