Removing Rear Bumper - Mk2 172

Car  2007 MK5 VW Golf TDi
How do I remove the rear bumper from my Mk2 172? I need to touch up a little scrape and don't want to get overspray everywhere!!

Is removing it a simple job?

Thanks for your help!

There are two bolts under each arch. Also take off the arch liner screws. Set to screws along where the boot lid sits.... thats it iirc.

Where are the arch liner screws? I removed all the others and it wouldn't budge!!

on the inside of the arch, as your looking at side of the car just under the arch and to the right at the top. then the ones along the bottom of the bumper and the ones when you open your boot. behind the arch liner there are a bolt either side. just keep undoing shiznit till it pulls off :P

Also to remove it you will need to unclip the bumper from the wing, as you looking at the rear wheel, face on, pull the bumper towards you and it will come free.
