Removing rear plate screw (Rusty)

  Jap Box
Hi,

Looking to get new plates for the front and back soon so decided to check today with regards to getting them off etc.

Only bothered to try the back so I assume the front will be worst, the one screw was so rusty that when I put the screwdriver on there most of it crumbled away, so now the screwface is basically bare, no grip to get onto it etc, how would I go about getting this out?

Tried more force on there but it wouldnt budge at all.

Also, anyone got any god tips for screws that wont rust quite so easily next time?

Much thanks :)

Mole grips?

A lot of people use sticky pads to hold their plates on, dunno how easy that would be to get off later on though. Velcro strips?

How difficult is it to unscrew a screw.....?

Also, you can go onto fancyplates dot com and buy any plate you like....
