Removing rear side strips?

hello

so i got some spare side strips sprayed up, i have removed the ones off the doors, but the rears look like they need interior trim removed to get to the clip to release them?

They just pull out and towards the front of the car, it's been a while since I removed any but you can do it with the front doors open

Was thinking this literally as i came onto the forum as im going to colour code my Mk3, is it the same with your 197/MK3 strips?

I have no idea sorry, I've never taken them off. I imagine it's the same as the mk2 but don't take my word for it

ok, so after a bit of head scratching, i sorted it out, if you look under the strip their is a small notch that you slide a flat head screw driver into and lift the clip out, then slide the strip off, would recommend taping the screwdriver up so you dont scratch the paint work

Ah okay, I have a spare rear strip in the garage ill take a look and try and work it out
