Removing steering wheel badge

Need some help guy's I'm trying to remove the badge on my steering wheel so I can paint it but can't seem to shift the flipping thing. I've tried pulling it and prising it with a screw driver (covered with a cloth of course).

Do I have to take the airbag off or should it just pull off?

I would leave well alone Matt, its part of the airbag cover and is fixed in a way that insures it wont hurt you if the bag deploys.

Sounds like a mask up job for an airbrush.

just pull it... from the bottom... it has two catches on it.. it should come off. it is a bit of a bugger with all dues tho. i took mine off to laquer it... but it does come off...
