Removing the complete airbag system

is this an easy thing to do?
I want to take out the front ones.
Do i just unplug all the electric boxes in front of the gearstick and then set about taking stuff out?
How do i ensure the bag doesn't explode and smack me in the face while i'm doing this??

Hmm im not sure, i thought the pyrotechnics were triggered from and electronic charge, so by disconnecting the battery stopping that electronic pulse ?

Im sure some one will correct me ?

Disconnecting the battery is a safe as you'll get. Its not nitroglycerin its an airbag, just be careful with them.

you could wear a gum shield instead.

This could affect your insurance and maybe have MOT issues not to mention removing them could prove fatal if you are involved in an accident
