Removing the glass from a headlight....

How the f**k does it come off!! I've hairdried all the obviously glued bits and scraped it out of the way, tried prising around the edges with a knife but no joy. Anyone done it?
 
not done it on a clio but with a saxo one you had to properly pull the glass off to the point you thought it would break
 
The edge of the glass isn't actually on show though, theres a lip around it so you can't really get under it!
 
Allegedly, as Mark has said, bob it in the oven on a low temp and it will soften the sealant enough for you to separate the lens from the casing.

**no responsibilty accepted for melted headlights though!** :rasp:
 
It's a spare so I'll have a go! Mother will be happy if I get plastic everywhere.....
 
I don't think you can get them apart with breaking them tbh. Will be interesting to see what happens.
