Renault alarm or

I want to get an alarm fitted for piece of mind, i know an alarm doesnt stop someone breaking in, but it is a deterrant i guess.

Should i let renault upgrade the immobiliser to Cat 1 for £330, or a local firm install an upgrade for £229?
