And some light damage caused by a brick some cnut threw at my car!

What do you guys reckon, except the obvious that it needs lowering ;)

  Audi TTS S Tronic
Reason it is multi coloured, the bonnet flew up because the bonnet catch failed and we couldn't source a red bonnet so we got a grey one instead :)

It looks like it need a lot mate, but ph1's can be tidied up into quite nice little cars.

If you were looking to modify it....

First on my list would be getting the bonnet and grill piece the same colour as the body, the colour coding the bumpers, then ph2 rear lights, then lowering, then colour coded dynamic spoiler and side strips whilst your there, then dual optic headlights, then personally for me, some different alloys.

defs get the car colour coded should be top of your list,

and get a proper front bumper and put some fogs in it,

then just get colour coding and itll be a nice little car.

  Audi TTS S Tronic
Thanks for the ideas guys. The thing is, with the colour coding and that, it's quite expensive (for me anyways)

I am actually looking to sell the car and whilst we're at it, without the alloy wheels, so, with standard steel wheels with practically new tyres on each corner, what do you reckon I could fetch for this? The car has done 137,000 miles

I was looking at colour coding before, but because I'm looking to buy something else, I don't think it's worth it.

Well if you get the bonnet and grill the right colour then i reckon you could get about 650- 750 for it mate.

Cheapest way to get it the right colour would probably be spend some time phoning around breakers asking for one in the right colour, then selling the old one on here mate.

Needs some work !

Become a member if you can, Then youve got access to the selling and buying marketplace. Post a wanted thread for the side strips.. Or look on ebay.

Lower it, Colour code it, Loose the tints, De dent the brick mark and have it sprayed, Get a matching bonnet, Get some better looking inerior from the scrappys or ebay.

Could do it up a bit and sell it on, Or do it up and keep it as a nice little runner if it runs ok.

  Audi TTS S Tronic
The side strips, I can pick them up cheaply, but they have never bothered me and that is why I have left them as is.

Not tooo tooo bothered about lowering the car really but have always wanted it to be colour coded

The tints were already on the windows when I got the car and they are a pain in the arse sometimes.

I wanted to get rid of the brick mark, but I have been told I need a new door?

I am after a new bonnet and matching grill and have been for a few months

I bought that interior from the scrappy already! :( cost me £120

The engine runs absolutely fine, but I'm after something with more poke now my insurance has quartered because I have been driving a year :)

so are you looking to sell the car as it is??

despite all the cnutish comments by some i dont really think its worth a great deal as it stand... with the sky high milage and mismatched pannels will fetch about 200-300,

sorting a dent that hasnt scratched/cracked the paint much wont up the value, so i wouldnt recomend it.

unfortunatley. id either:
1.pour some money into her to make her decent.
2. sell her and take the losses, buy a nice 1.6 or so and start from scratch.

good luck with whatever you choose.
and ignore the twaty coments, some CS members dont understand what its like to be young lol.

  Audi TTS S Tronic
Hello mate, thanks for your response :)

I have had a few offers of around £700 for this but they never actually go through with the offers apparently. The mismatched panels seems to be quite popular in my area at the moment, so that's not too much of an issue which is good. With regards to the mileage, that is the biggest problem that I have come across so far. People don't want a high mileage car, even though these things CAN reach around 200,000 miles.

The cam belt went at 116,000 miles and killed the cylinder head and a new one was fitted so that's part of the engine that's slightly newer :)

I haven't really got the money to put in to the car and I am after a 1.6 Clio, however, my dad isn't keen on me getting another Clio because he hates working on them for some reason and I can't afford to get a garage to do any of the general work that he does for me.

Yeah, it's not easy being young :). I earn £170 after tax a week, and live with parents, so don't have that many outgoings, but then you got fuel, insurance, car tax, phone bill (£40 a month), food. So I'm not left with loads to save up each week :(

My advice would be to run it untill you can afford something better. Polishing a turd is expensive and time consuming.

  Audi TTS S Tronic
Tbh, I didn't think my car was that bad, after seeing some of the comments I have received I am a little confused. Everybody that sees my car has told me how good condition the car is in. The car is exactly how I got it except I bought alloys for it and had the bonnet replaced. The tinted windows aren't on there by choice

it has a few issues yes! its not wot i would call good condition thou!
you have the rear side trim sections missing, the dent on the drivers door, your bonnet and grill are a different colour!
the interior looks to be in good condition apart from the 6x9's in the parcel shelf! im not trying to have a go but please dont think its in good condition! have a look around the forum for phase 1's and you will see what i mean mate

  Audi TTS S Tronic
I know it has a few issues. The side trims will cost me £10, and the bonnet and grill, it's all down to taste really. Some people like it being grey, some don't. It's the same as, some people like carbon bonnets, some don't.

Can I ask for elaboration on the 6x9s :p?

I know you're not having a go, but it's pretty good nick considering some of the crappy Ph1s out there. Most of the Ph1s on this forum (e.g. yours) are extremely nice, but the guy that had this car before me was a bit of a prick tbh and never looked after it, hence the cam belt snapping

I think it looks brill.
Good job. Definately have good taste in cars :) Fair play for being different.
Love those alloys.

  Audi TTS S Tronic
Thanks Reyes :)

I have tried to look after it since I have had it :) Keeping it regularly washed and polished. Renault Red comes up quite shiny once you give it a once over with some polish

Thanks, I wish that I had chosen some alloys with slightly less spokes because these can be a pain to clean, but that is only because I had sticky calipers causing lots of brake dust. The alloys are a year old now and not a scratch :)

i mean the 6x9's look abit chavy especially with those grilles on it!
but if you do decide to keep it i would defo look out on ebay or breakers for a red grille and bonnet! unfortunatly ive just sold my spax suspension kit for £60 posted which would of been a very cost effective mod for you, but keep your eye out for a set or even just £40 ish 60mm springs

  Audi TTS S Tronic
My dad bought the 6x9s lol. I only put the grille things on them because otherwise they don't fit in the holes that the previous owner put in the shelf properly.

I keep looking out for a bonnet and grilles because as soon as they come up, I can sell mine off and get new ones :)

I was looking at getting new springs, only for the front though. However, because I was thinking of selling the car, I didn't see any reason to

your in the same picle as me mate,

my car is worth FA to anyone else, its worth more to me as a car, money wise i cannot afford much more, with my college bills. however as its been nicely put, im polishing my turd lol.

as for the condition, i wouldnt say its good, without seeing it i wouldnt comment too much, pannels look straight. however the bonnet and grill being the different colour would drop the car to 'poor condition' in my books (and all of cliosport's tbh) i just think it looks badly repaired after a crash.

if i were you, i crawl and leave my details with all the scrappies that stock clio parts. and find the pannels the correct colour. if it had matching pannels it would be a good little starter.

as for the 6x9s, theyre very chavy and seen as a no-no by most.

tbh, youve really asked the opinion of the wrong forum. being a fellow pov spec 1.2 owner i can understand where your coming from. but most on this forum are into the perfectly polished 1*2 and v6's and in comparison, its not really a show stopper,

however its got potential if you sort the mis matched colour out. the get some mods on there and itll look mint.

sorry for going on lol.

As said, ignore the arsey comments. If it were me I'd just tidy it up best I could and save whatever money you can until you can buy something more worthy of your hard-earned cash. If money is a big issue don't go wasting it, wait until you can afford something better. We've all been there mate, you just have to work your way up. :)

agreed^^

you really need to make the decision on selling it or not, if so tidy it up, and sell it,

or stick with minting up a ph1 (a decision thats looked down upon by most, but some of us have to keep the ph1 non-sports alive:D)

You'll save a lot more money than us lot on petrol too.
You'll be laughing at the cocky f***s on here when petrol hits £1.50.

...I hope it doesn't go that high.

You're not kidding, I was getting 12.1 MPG around Silverstone!! 12.1!!!

  Audi TTS S Tronic
Yeah exactly the same situation lol and it's not a good one to be in :p

lol, some people would say that it looks badly repaired after a crash but, if I was to be able to get the second hand parts to make it look how it used to, then it wouldn't look like that. I have rung round loads of local scrappies and none of them have the bonnet and grille (or either of them). I have been quoted £150 for both to be painted, but I just cannot afford to spend that on the car considering I want to sell it soon.

Well, the only reason why I got 6x9s was because there were holes in the parcel shelf and my dad thought he would buy me some for my birthday :)

I know that coming here and asking for comments wasn't the best idea, but I just wanted to put pictures up just like everybody else.
