Renault Engines

Hello,

I have a 1.4 Clio 16v (2002). I was wondering what else I can drop in there ?
Looking at the 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 2.0 they are all very similar.
Does anyone have any information on engine codes / fitting ?

As far as i'm aware all the Mk2 engines use the same mounting points and in any case, they're all the same shell. The 2.0 F4R engine should drop right in i think.

For the time/effort/ancillaries required why not just buy a car with a bigger engine?
