Renault Labour charges.

Been a very long time since I had work done by Renault.

There was a post a few weeks back and most of you were saying Reno charge you around £35 an hour.

Renault Enfield have just quoted me £77 an hour + VAT

Are they taking the piss or what?

Its hard work scratching your arse and making tea yknow.

They probably think it will only take an hour so best bump up the price.

Bloody hell, thats £90 an hour. What did you ask for, a rally style gearbox change in 15mins?!?!

I remember you mentioning its not covered by any warrantys, why dont you try a Renault Specialist instead of a main dealer? Or even a crash repairer?

my 36,000 mile service cost £513

£306 = labour

£192 = parts

£15 for them to clean it!! when it was SPOTLESS when it went in anyway.

Good thinking Rob. Its just that I need it done extra quick as my garage is full of a mates furniture at the mo so Im having to park on the street at the mo.:(

That is about the going rate for dealers, some are over £90 an hour. And for what? I would imagine that there might be a bit of a difference between the Renault main dealer and the Renault franchise.

It is the better small independent who charges about £30 - £35 an hour and they probably work much harder and more thoroughly for it too! I know that my local one does.
