still get mucky wi flaps though, so still as much cleaning at end of day. you will just end up cleaning the flaps instead.

I have made standard clio mudflaps fit. They are quite small and dont hamper the look of the car at all. I got them because my 1st Cup (after 18k) was starting to pick up tiny tiny chips on the back arches.

You have to do a wee bit of cutting of the mudflaps to get them on, but worth it. I have also got Reno scenic back arch protectors, the ones that are like helicopter tape and protect from stone chips. See through, and unless you look hard, then you wont see it.

on the back arches? there aint no paint to chip apart from the 1" thick part of the bumper you can see, is this what you mean?

Id recoment getting them.

Ive got them on my car and seeing the stones etc they collect its worrying to think what Id do without them. The sides of my car would be scratched like mad even if they do take ages to clean out its better than having the sides of the car scratched.

Renault ones dont fit 182.

I ordered renault protection pack which includes mudflaps but they couldnt get them to fit my 182.

Muppets tried 1 hour to fit with no joy, still waiting for reimbursement of costs!

No, I mean if you look at the car side on, the wee bit of arch before you get to the wheel that is slightly flared. This is where stones will hit, kicked up from the front wheels. It like clear plastic tape that I have got. The Focus RS and the Racing Puma have them, as well as tons of other cars.

The standard clio mudflaps will NOT fit directly on to a 172/182 etc, but you CAN make them like I did.

good idea Mac then.

But you will be able to see them arch protectors wont you, and when you remove them it you wills ee the outline will you not?

have you got a pic of them on your car?

I reckon mud flaps on the back would look a bit pants only because they would spoil the lines of the rear bumper.

Was considering some for the front. Also the trouble with putting 205/40/17s is that the extra width makes them more inclined to throw sh*t up the sides of the car!! lol

see i think they look ok and agree with edde here on the stone chips and collection of it, defo getting some now, what do you reckon theyd look like colour coded, i can do it myself so it aint a problem there

Cheers for posting the pics mate.

That was my 1st Cup, got rid of it about a year ago. Thats the K-tec racing system that I have on it there, got a magnex on the Cup I have now.

The mudflaps are not for looks, but simply to try and stop sh1t deflecting up the side of the car. They dont look too bad IMO.

Macs pics dont think you can see the protectors though.

p.s Mac, you gopt some of that anti flash spray on ya plates? ;)
Liam, you really need to zoom in on the back arches to see them mate, oh and polish does the same thing to your number plates by the way ;)

I have a post about these in wanted. Lost one the other night, the only ones that look good on clios are the ones on that cup in the pics. £60 fitted from Reno for a pair, or £25 not fitted. RIP OFF!
