Renaults Printout..

I went into Renault today and I was asking the guy about paint codes etc... so he went and took a look at my oval plate...and told me to hang on a couple of ticks while he went out the back. When he came back he done a complete printout of all the fitments, specs, ecu revision, software revision etc. Which he gave me. This thing has Renault Confidential printed all over it lol.. Its interesting though... One thing I did pick up on was that it says my car doesnt come with underbody sealant... I thought this was standard on all modern cars? I doubt this bit of paper will be of much more use but I thought it was cool...

CB1A does these the one I have says confidential on it as well.

I dont see why the owner cannot have a copy of the documentation used to build the car to. It lists all the times its been into the garage doesnt it?

The only thing I know about the underbody sealant is that this is apparently one of the differences between imports and cars from renault uk, but youre probably going to say you got yours direct from renault uk and blow this out of the water

Are these docs specific to your car, or do we all have such a copy held on Renos files. If so Ill ask for mine. If not, do you fancy copying them?>

Well they did it on my Chassis number I think... so It must be specific to my car... Oh and yes my car is an import Tony.... so I have no underbody sealant in rainy england .... greeeeeeeeat .... I must admit Ive sprayed underseal on a couple of my previous cars.... I might look at doing the same with my 172.... trouble is its so damn messy... and it goes over the exaust... and brake lines etc....

I just noticed that it also tells me when My warrenties run out... both mechanical and for paint work...

That would be handy if you were going to buy a second hand 172, make sure you dont but a Friday afternoon one.
