Renaut Clio II 2004 - Loss of power while driving

  Renault Clio Mk2
Hi,

Just purchased my first car.
Renaut Clio II 2004 and had it in straight in for a service last week, here is a list of what was done - http://www.tadstar.co.uk/#!servicing/cl7g . When sat idle in neutral the rev counter sits just above at 500 Rev/M initially. Then I find after a few minutes or a short drive the rev counter gets higher and lower when idle, this is sometimes followed by a judder in the car and stall if gas is not applied to increase revs. Further to this, when cruising in any gear with the gas pedal pushed to about 20% - 30% the rev counter will drop as of if the accelerator was lifted. Either a gear change is required to correct this or 80% - 90% of the gas pedal has to be pushed before the power is returned.

Does anyone have any suggestions or steps to take to get to the root of the problem?

Cheers,
Glyn
