Replaced faulty pre-cat o2 sensor - now worse MPG!

Just wondering if this is a common thing....

At the weekend I had my pre-cat o2 sensor replaced, I was averaging about 33MPG prior to this, this week, doing the same run, im averaging 28MPG!

Does the computer need to 'learn' that a new sensor is in or have I bought a faulty sensor?! Its a Bosch one by the way.

did you fit a new sensor?

you should 'generally' be seeing better MPG from a new lambda, why did you change it.. was it causing problems?

yep brand new sensor.

it was showing up as needing a pre cat sensor when it got taken on a CLIP machine

Have you plugged it into Clip after fitting the new sensor?

the ECU needs to learn new trims, that shouldn't take too long though

hi guys, just an update - MPG is looking better now after a reset the mpg counter.
