Replacement for 300D

  RIP Dan
So speaking to my insurance after my Canon EOS 300D went swimming, like for like replacement.

What do you think my options are?

The 300d is 8-9 years old so god knows.

I’d recommend the 650d. The 60d is getting cheap nowadays too, so I’d take a look at that also if you want something a bit higher level.

Not really sure that I can choose tbh, I was happy with my old camera and am a bit gutted.

What does the like for like part mean? do they still sell 300 or 350s??

Obviously I would be happy with the latest 650 or whatever but very much doubt that is what I will get.

I think you might be pleasantly surprised. Like for like normally results in getting the same spec equipment. As cameras have moved on so much, that won't be possible, so it will just be a xxxD spec camera. Good luck!

If you dont mind going away from the norm, look at the Pentax K30. Its just come down by £200+

Weathsealed and one of the best sensors on the market.
