Replacement leather seat back cover

The leather side bolster on my Mk 2 172 has become a bit scored and I've been considering whether one of these "chipsway" type franchises might be able to improve it; however I understand you can get a complete replacement seat back cover from Renault for about £160 (or thereabouts). As we might have the car for the long term, I'm seriously considering it - presumably, though, it would need a specialist to fit it. Just wondered if anyone has gone down this road.

How bad is the 'scoring' on it ?
If it's not that bad you might get away with using shoe polish on it. If it's quite bad then you won't get away with it.

Wow! The dealer gave me part number 7701057746 as the driver's seat cover, at a price of £166.04 plus VAT - thought it seemed awfully low. Looks like Chipsaway are the way forward!
