When mine need changing Ill go for either Mintex M1144s, Ferrodo DS2500s or Pagids on the front, but stick to standard on the rear.

Your rear pads probably wont need changing yet either...

tonycart,

I was told there are two Pagid Blues, one street and one race. Can you give us the part numbers.

I had been leaning to the Frerodos as I am familiar with them and they are listed in the RenaultSport catalogue...

The Tar-ox ones (see the members discount page) are really good. NO fade on the big thrash at Donington Park last month, even after Val came back into the pits with the brakes smoking.

The pagid street version are almost the same as stock used on the clio RS, but the raceversions are the ones to go for the number is : RS4.2 for the blue ones we use. You also can go for RS4.4 red or RS14C which are the black ones. But I would go for the blue ones.

p.s. they are NOT cheap !!! and lasting even as long as normal in road use

@telfort mike. mmm tricky business for VAL when his pads are smokin he has to be learned to adjust his brake balance (yes you can do it manualy with the race clio) Simple get one to read the temperature of the disks after a couple of laps and make sure you are around 500 both in front and back. If not adjusting is what you need

Smokin brakes are ONLY permitted in testphase that we do for Pagid during trackdays.

77 01 206 379 BRAKE PADS ME2 40.24

77 01 207 034 BRAKE PADS 34.20

Renault part numbers for you all plus vat.

PM me I get them cheaper.;)

I went for renault supplied pads, as I thought any problems will then still be covered by warranty.

I fitted them myself to keep the cost down. Front pads were £50inc. Ive done 24K and the rears are still ok.

I have ungraded mine to the ktec kevlar front & rear. Less dust. No squeal & noticably better stopping power although there is slightly less initial bite. Superb value for money.
