Replacement Parts

  Clio 182...
Hi Guys,

Sorry about the Newbie Question, but I've been told by my friendly MOT inspector that I've got excessive play in the F/NS lower suspension arm of my '04 182...

Can anyone recommend a good place for replacement parts - I'm trying to avoid main dealers....?

Thanks.

Thanks for the response!

Would play in the Lower suspension arm be down to the ball-joint then (excuse my ignorance)? - Is it difficult to replace?

Need a ball joint?

If so £10 delivered and its yours...
Your ball joint if off a normal Clio i bet if so it won't fit a 182. Plus since a new one (for a none RS) from GSF etc can be got for under £10 its not that good a deal.

yep they do wear.

Its comes as part of an assembly with a new bottom arm £60ish. You cannot officialy buy the ball joint seperate (there is a part which fits etc but just do it properly its good practice).

Drop your lcoal dealership a call it so long as has been Renault serviced Renault UK are often willing to pay up as your car sounds like its just out of warently. (the dealership wil contract Renault Uk on your belaf although the dealership might want to check the car first not jst take your/the Mot's gutys word for it)

Sam

always out for a quick buck!!

As Edde says really. I got a whole arm with balljoint and the bushed already fitted for £60ish. Its not too bad to change, arb mount off, balljoint bolt off and then the 2 bolts into the subframe.

BTW balljoints on there own cost about a fiver!
