Replacing Dipped Headlight Bulbs

  Evo 8 MR
I replaced all the bulbs in my headlights the other day to ones with a blue tint and got the job done in about an hour. Job was successful, however the dipped headlight bulbs I don't think are in correctly especially the passenger side as a firm knock and it is out of place.

They do stay in place however but when I use the electric up/down headlight adjuster in the car the passenger side bulb always comes lose and I am also worried about the drivers side.

I just wondered if anyone can explain how to get them in properly as I am unsure, all I did was push quite firmly and they went in but as I said I don't think they are in correctly, anyone help?

You usually have to twist the bulb holder to make it fit. That is how it grabs the bulb to stop it falling out.
Mine was a pain to change to the blue tinted bulbs. Air con unit was in the way!!

yeh, you have to turn the holder clockwise once in position. this locks it.

Yeah I have tried that but its really difficult and it doesn't seem to turn at all in either direction. Would removing the front bumper provide better access to the back of the headlight?? Also my nearside headlight is missing one of the rubber covers, anyone know where I could get hold of one?
