Hi Guys, just wondered how difficult it is to replace the lower ball joint? Got it already, just wondered what I need in order to get it all done, like tools and stuff? Thanks, Matt

+1 but use a big mallet type hammer. Its bloody hard to get off.

Not needed. Just widen the clamp on the hub (hammer and chisel) and whack the joint out.
Really not worth the effort.

Easy job as said, they can be a bit of a cunit to get out, but apart from that it's all good.

I just replaced mine a month or so back. Just a word of warning, one of my pinch bolts seized in place solid, I tried brute force, wd40 and heat, but all failed. I'd then made such a mess of the bolt trying to hit it out with a 4lb hammer that I couldn't get the nut back on. Car now stuck outside my home address with the suspension undone and needed to be taken to a garage.
You'll also need to fully support the chassis leg and brake disc as it will fully extend when you undo the lower ball joint. You'll never be able to just push it back up yourself, you'll need a jack or similar. There might be a trick, but I couldn't find it.
