Replacing Speakers....

  Clio 182cup
Hey guys and gals im looking to replace the speakers in my 182 can anyone inform me of what size i will need to get? and has anyone got any suggestions on what would be a good upgrade of speaker, thanks

I think theyre 5.25" in the front and back :)

I've always stuck with Audiobahn speakers, quite hard to get hold of but i've never had any problems.

Infinity speakers sound really good, but as with all speakers they can only sound as good as the headunit. are you using the standard one or do you have an aftermarket one?

depends how far you want to go.

on a budget i got some JBL GT0 527 speakers. nice sound of them with intergrated tweeter i think. halfords price them around 50-60 quid but you can get them a lot cheaper than that

I just fitted Pioneer TS-Q131C components & it's made a huge difference.

They're so easy to fit 'cause they're designed for Renaults - just unplug the old ones & plug in the new ones - jobs a good un.

You need to remove your dash for the tweeters but I managed it & I'm hopeless at these things - check out Fubar.net for how to do it.

I wouldn't advise these for typical head unit running.....
The 'Kappa' range are 2ohm impedance, this can cause some head units to fail....

If they are to be ran via an external amp then they will be fine and perform as well as your installation will permit....

Installed correctly these will embarass some 6 1/2" speakers with their power, installed incorrectly they will sound weak and tinny....
