Replacing std airbox on ph1 172?

  BMW E46 330i Touring
I want to remove my Viper I/K and put the std airbox back in - but I bought the car with the Viper, so not sure how it goes back together again! Anyone help?

basically need to undo the caf running to the viper. then you have to undo the elbow to the inlet and to the air filter. then completely remove everything. put the caf's back in for the airbox, and then place the airbox into place, before connecting the elbow back on. easier said than done in my experience lmao

Lol, that's my worry... get the Viper off piece of the proverbial p!ss and then not be able to get the std one back on! Think I'll add it to the list of jobs that I need to 'look into'.

Not too difficult, but it is all a bit tight. Once you have the two cold air feed pipes back in place I'll be happy to bring mine round and show you how it all fits together.

Hmm, cold air feed pipes... guess I'll have to try and find those as well! Yeah, I'd appreciate a gander at your's at some point if it's not too much bother Rob, cheers.

Did I see you driving into Exeter on Heavitree Road this evening, around 5ish?

No M8, I was heading back from Tiverton Parkway after a lovely day stuck in the office in Bristol.

There are two air feed pipes that go into the airfilter housing. They come up from behind the two slits on the bumper (the two slits are below the headlamp and to the left as you look at the car from the front). The two pipes join onto an intake that looks fixed to the bumper. Nevermind I've found you a picture instead: see PM.

Cheers, Rob669
