replacing steering wheel

has anyone replaced, or swapped the original steering wheel, with the cruise control buttons for an after market one like a Momo or similar smaller racing styled wheel and been able to keep the controls of the original steering wheel??

yeah had a wee look and didn't really find much info on it apart from someone saying it might be possible to mount them on but not look right... wanted to know if anyone had done it already....

Steviant did it with other buttons. Someone retained the originals and I'm going to have a stab at mind over the coming weeks.
