Replacing the rocker gasket cover without a torque wrench?

I need to replace my rocker gasket but I dont have a torque wrench to do it back up with again. Can any advise me if this is essential or will doing the bolts up to a decent tightness be ok?

on which engine?

yep its a valver lump! Iv asked on clio16valver and apparently its such a low torque setting anyway (10nm) that it hardly matters? Iv been advised to do them up hand tight them tweek them all with a ratchet....

£50 for a torque wrench from halfords, its a tool you'll use alot if you are serious about building stuff properly

how long does it take to go to halfords? Seriously get one.

And the one from argos doesnt go low enough iirc. Got one and its 1/2" drive, good for big old nuts and bolts.

if the rocker cover is just that, a cover, just wang it on and spin em up by hand plus 1/2 a turn, that'll do
