Replacment brake pads help pls

According to the Renault garage my front brakes are 75% worn. So I need some new one. I take it that there not difficult to fit?

Also where is the best (read cheapest) place to get new pads from? I cannot see having a different type of pads than Renault use having any sort of affect on warenly or insurance but can anyone tell me if it is so?

Thanks I realise that the questions are stupid but I need someone to reasure me.

I can sell you a Diamond encrusted Rolex if you like, its very cheap and very good! .......................lol ;)

Sorry mate I couldnt resist it!There prob good but not that cheap

Hmmm. EBC pads are generally regarded as sh!te by most fast-car-owning types.

Ferodo DS2000 or DS3000, Mintex 1144 or 1155, both are good makes and work well from cold to just-done-6-bypass-roundabouts hot. ;)

Not overly cheap mind, but you get what you pay for... Ive had the EBCs on my turbo and theyre crap when theyre cold and havent really got any bite to them, even when theyre hot.

But, re-reading the original question, try the local car-part dealers to see what prices they have on original-spec pads! I think that new cars are now limited on braking upgrades - something about replacement pads and discs not being more the 15% different from original spec? Which is crap really, as you have no hope of ever getting decent brakes if your car is pants to start with...

I have to say the brakes arnt that bad. I have learnt to take it easy on the roads after crashing the Clio.

The Clio isnt as good a car for driver feedback as my old escort so I have to take it easier but its brakes didnt fade going for a hard drive where as I managed to fade the brakes on the same road in the Escort.

Can someone please tell me what brakes the Dynamics have (a diesel I assume has the same brakes as others in the Dynamic range).

I remember reading somewhere that it has the same brake pads as the 1.8 16V and the GTT I looked in Halfords and the brake parts number is the same. However no mention of the New Clio brakes type.

Thanks for any help
