Is there any reason why I should not buy them? Would I be better off buying a set of second hand genuine VAG alloys? Is there any actual difference, apart from a stamp saying they are genuine?

may be abit heavyer/less quality forming material but most people couldnt tell the difference between the two just to look at them.
if your tight on cash/s**t at parking go for the reps.

Ive heard that some replicas suffer from laquer peel a lot more than the genuine thing. A mate of mine had some Audi reps and they suffered badly, but saying that they were second hand and you dont know what the previous owner did, or didnt do.

Its worth the risk id say, youd save a lot of cash and with that you could have them refurbed if needs be.
