Repotting wax

Did a search but nothing came up

​I dropped my DJ OC today (don't leave wax on your car roof) shattering the lid... Now I'm repotting it into an old, cleaned Doritos dip tub.

I've got it sat just in some simmering water, it's mostly all melted apart from one large lump... Just checking if this is ok to do and if there's anything in particular to do to keep it... Waxy? I assume just let it set at room temperature?

Let me know if this is ok, or if I've ruined it lol.

By melting you will have changed the chemical make up with solvents evaporating and others altering with the reheating and cooling process. Plus they have a set cooling process that differs based on the ingredients.

All you needed to do was use a tea spoon and dig it out in large pieces as possible. Using only the warmth of your fingers you can mould it back together into the shape of the pot.

hopefully in using the wax again you won't notice any difference, but it will have changed.

Depends what part of the make up has altered so you won't know, if at all, what has changed
